Co-Founder
DroidSolutions / KULDIG
App development from Leipzig; KULDIG builds digital culture products.
What it does
DroidSolutions is a software company from Leipzig, building mobile apps and the backends behind them since 2013 — city apps, utility and e-mobility apps, and custom product development for clients who need software that ships and keeps running.
KULDIG is its digital-culture platform: with the KULDIG AppCreator, museums and cultural institutions configure, design, and manage their own apps, media guides, and interactive stations — self-service instead of custom development, from AI-assisted translation and audio production to GDPR-compliant visitor analytics.
My part in it
This is my biggest role to date. I co-founded DroidSolutions at the very beginning and have led its IT — development and consulting — since 2018. I created the KULDIG AppCreator and remain responsible for its technical development and scaling: the platform itself, its SDKs, the infrastructure services behind it, and edge-CDN solutions for delivering content fast.
The engineering range is wide: full-stack web (React, Next.js, Nuxt, TypeScript, Node.js, PHP) on infrastructure I also run (Docker, Kubernetes), and mobile across the whole spectrum — React Native, Flutter, and native iOS and Android in Objective-C and Kotlin. The projects span culture and municipal government, medical devices (apps talking to existing hardware over Bluetooth Low Energy, with data security as a hard requirement), IoT, and e-mobility.
Today I am responsible for a set of apps in production, including the Leipzig App, the Partheland App, L-Charge and L-Energie for Leipziger Stadtwerke, and Mein Brillant.
